What is in Nail varnishes and Polishes?
I have always thought the smell of a nail varnish, smelt toxic, it is such a pungent smell. I can not say that I was surprised, after seeing what the ingredients in them .
I have found that you can buy less toxic nail polishes, why on earth are they still using the others?
I feel sorry for those people working in the Nail Salons breathing in the fumes day after day.
It cannot be good for your health.

When my oldest girls were young ( before I realised what was in nail varnish) they had used a pink nail varnish in their room, I found the bottle eventually in the washing machine, with the bedding!
And no, I couldn’t get the color off the bedding!
It is very permanent on fabric.
It is amazing to think that they sell these nail varnishes for children, often in kids makeup sets, complete with all things glittery that of course catches the eye of young girls. It is so toxic.

They write that some nail varnishes can have up to 30 different chemicals each.
Even some of the Brands that advertise they are ” 5 free” to some of the chemicals can still be hiding other chemicals that you probably wouldn’t want in your polish.

They seem to be made of either Acrylic or Gel , some of the issues around these can be from infections.

This was interesting as this is something that I have never even thought of having done. When I lived in the States the amount of Nail Salons was huge, it seems to be everywhere now. Even in rural France!
